OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - President Donald Trump announced today on his social media platform, Truth Social, that Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin will replace Kristi Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security, effective March 31.
“Senator Mullin has a big job ahead of him restoring America’s trust in a department that’s been reckless and harmful. Unfortunately, Oklahomans know all too well that his track record of duck and cover, insider trading, and fawning media appearances will do nothing to keep our communities safe,” said Erin Brewer, Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair.
Senator Mullin's track record as a tireless fighter for the billionaire class and a rubber stamp for the Trump agenda make him the perfect candidate to run Trump’s out-of-control Department of Homeland Security.
Mullin has aligned himself with Trump’s most extreme policies in the U.S. Senate, backing the administration’s efforts to expand executive authority, undermine democratic norms, and has consistently prioritized the interests of the Epstein class over Oklahoma families.
Additional details regarding the transition are expected in the coming weeks.
