The Oklahoman endorsed Democratic incumbents Kim Holland and Steve Burrage Friday, citing both for their experience and successes in the offices they currently hold. Holland is seeking a second full term as Insurance Commissioner, and Burrage seeks his first full term in the office of Auditor and Inspector.
Oklahoma Democratic Party Chairman Todd Goodman released a statement in response to the endorsements:
“We are very pleased The Oklahoman recognized Kim Holland and Steve Burrage are the most qualified candidates in their respective races. Both have a proven track record of service to the state and will continue to bring a high degree of professionalism to their offices throughout the next term. These offices should be run in a nonpartisan manner, and both Auditor Burrage and Commissioner Holland have proven their dedication to this principle.”
