Oklahoma City, OK - Today, Todd Goodman, chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party, issued the following statement on today's elections in House District 55:
"I would like to congratulate Larry Peck on a well-fought race, and thank all the Democratic supporters for their help and hard work in this election. I believe that, despite tonight's election outcome, our work has helped to strengthen the Democratic Party. The time that Mr. Peck spent on the ground, knocking doors and talking to voters, showed the people of House District 55 that Democrats are working for them and listening to their hopes and concerns. And the outpouring of volunteerism and support from Democrats across the state gives me hope for the upcoming 2010 elections.
"I believe that we will build on the grassroots team that came to fight for Larry Peck and for the people of HD55 and continue to spread the Democratic message of hard work, community and opportunity for all Oklahomans."
