OK Democratic Party Chair Goodman looking forward to starting road to elections

Oklahoma City, OK - At the end of the filing period for candidates for office in Oklahoma, Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair Todd Goodman issued the following statement:

"I am very proud of the number of Democrats who came out to file for office this week. It takes courage, conviction and a commitment to public service to put your name on a ballot, and we appreciate all of our candidates willing to put themselves on the line.

"I know this year will be a challenge, but the hard work to pave the way to victory in November starts now. All our candidates - both incumbents and challengers - know that it will take a tremendous amount of dedication to win. Most of all, though, it will take humility and compassion - not just to run well, but to govern well.

"I'm excited for our prospects in November, and I remain confident that we can take key victories and keep the Democratic voice in Oklahoma strong.
