Statement from Oklahoma Democratic Party Chairman Wallace Collins on Mitt Romney’s Visit to Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City – Oklahoma Democratic Party Chairman Wallace Collins issued the following statement on Governor Mitt Romney’s visit to Oklahoma City today:

“We already knew that Gov. Mitt Romney has a dismal jobs record, with Massachusetts finishing 47th out of 50 in job creation under his watch.

“But during this week’s Republican debate in Las Vegas, we got a glimpse into how Romney tells right apart from wrong. He didn’t object to having undocumented workers working for him because it’s illegal – he objected because he thought it would hurt his political career.

“I disagree with Mitt Romney’s policies – that’s not news. But this is a presidential candidate who makes decisions not based on what’s right, but on what’s politically convenient. I’m willing to bet that even Oklahoma Republicans don’t agree with his principles.”

I totally agree. Even though our Republican "opposition" obviously has their own agenda, I can't imagine one of our fellow "Okies" would ever support this kind of hypocrisy.
