Fellow Democrats,

Today the AFL-CIO has joined the Oklahoma Democratic Party in opposing Labor Commissioner Mark Costello and his negative comments about state employees and teachers. The AFL-CIO has scheduled a rally of "No Confidence" against the Labor Commissioner, in front of his office at 3017 N. Stiles, on Monday, October 10th, 2011 at 4:30 p.m.

Democrats, This is our call to action!!! Our mission is to bring signs and help create a large turnout in support of middle class Oklahomans.

"Costello's snide remark that state employees and teachers (OEA) are comparable to "feral hogs" is utterly despicable and indefensible", said Oklahoma Democratic Chairman, Wallace Collins. "Costello is charged by virtue of his office to support, help, and defend middle class, working Oklahomans instead of denigrating them through juvenile comments".

The additional remark made by Costello, "It is time that the government stop being the bagman for union bosses", is also troubling since Costello has no evidence of this being true, it just sounds like more political rhetoric to inflame the public.

I again call on Commissioner Costello to resign!
