Oklahoma City, OK (September 15, 2009) – The Oklahoma Democratic Party will host a car seat giveaway on Thursday, September 17.
About 50 car seats will be given away to parents referred by Infant Crisis Services. The car seats are being donated by the Whitten-Newman Foundation, who is also partnering in the event with the Safe Kids Coalition.
"We are so grateful to be able to host this event as a way to reach out to our community," stated Todd Goodman, chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. "I'm thrilled that the Whitten-Newman Foundation has chosen to take on this project to ensure more children in our community will be able to ride safely in cars."
The giveaway will take place from 1-4 pm on Thursday.
