Oklahoma Democratic
Party: Gearing Up for National Organizing Day
ODP Chair Lisa
Pryor announced that hundreds of Oklahoma Democrats
will participate in the April 29, 2006 Neighbor-to-Neighbor
Organizing Day, spearheaded by the Democratic National
Committee. On April 29th, Oklahoma Democrats will
join Democrats nationwide in going door-to-door in
their community to talk with their neighbors about
the Party's vision for America, a vision for a better
nation and one that is based on honest leadership
and real security.
Across Oklahoma, organizers have set
up more than 25 events, are expecting numerous volunteers,
and will distribute more than 25,000 door hangers
with the Party's six-pronged agenda for America.
"The Democratic National Organizing
Day will play a key role in galvanizing Democrats
statewide and promoting our party's vision,"
Pryor said. "When Democrats work together to
organize at the grass roots and precinct level we
can and we will win elections."
Pryor said the April 29 event is the
first of three national organizing drives that are
a key part of building strong Election Day teams for
2006 and beyond.
"Oklahoma Democratic volunteers
are working in their communities to organize and mobilize
volunteers and voters," Pryor said.
